Yala Wildlife & Coast
Arrive in the Yala region by late morning and settle into your Hotel / lodge near Yala National Park. After lunch and a short rest, head out for an afternoon jeep safari through leopard territory, open plains, and waterholes rich with elephants, Leopards, bears, deer, crocodiles, and birdlife. Return to the lodge by dusk. The evening can be spent relaxing by the pool, enjoying a bonfire, or taking a short coastal walk, followed by dinner in a jungle setting.

Kumana Wetlands Safari
Departing for a morning safari in Kumana National Park, exploring quiet lagoons and wetlands at peak wildlife activity, with exceptional bird sightings alongside elephants and crocodiles. Return to the lodge for refreshment and Brunch, then rest during the heat of the day. In the afternoon, head back into the park for a second safari, enjoying the slower pace and serene landscapes, before returning for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by wilderness.

After breakfast, depart for a visit to Kataragama Temple, a sacred multi-faith pilgrimage site set amid forested surroundings. Continue through the Tissamaharama area with an optional stop at the Tissamaharama Bird Park, followed by a pause at the Hambantota Salt Pans, known for flamingos and salt flats. En route, sample traditional southern sweets such as dodol from roadside stalls. By afternoon, enjoy a relaxed sea bathe along the reef-sheltered coast at Tangalle, then continue along the scenic shoreline with a stop at Dondra Head Lighthouse. The evening is at leisure with a gentle beach walk, a relaxed seafood dinner, and time to rest to the sound of the waves.

Start early with a whale and dolphin watching excursion, the signature experience of Mirissa, before returning to shore by late morning breakfast. The rest of the day is relaxed, with beach time, swimming, and a visit to Coconut Tree Hill for coastal views. Enjoy lunch at a beachside café near Unawatuna and unwind before departing in the late afternoon. By evening, continue along the coast towards Galle, arriving in time to explore the fort area, enjoy sunset views from the ramparts, and dine at one of Galle’s historic restaurants.

Begin the morning with a relaxed walk through Galle Fort, taking in the ramparts, lighthouse, and colonial streets before departing along the south coast. Continue north to Hikkaduwa for a turtle hatchery visit, followed by a glass-bottom boat ride or snorkeling to explore coral reefs and marine life. By afternoon, proceed to the mangrove-lined waterways of Madu Ganga for a scenic boat safari through islands, tunnels, and bird habitats. In the evening, drive north to Wadduwa, arriving in time to unwind by the beach and enjoy a relaxed dinner.

Depart in the morning and travel north with a short stop at Kalutara Bodhiya for a brief visit and river views. Continue to Colombo for a city tour covering key landmarks, including Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, and a drive through the main commercial districts. In the afternoon, enjoy shopping stops at supermarkets, souvenir shops, handicraft outlets, and local stores for tea, spices, snacks, and essentials. Towards evening, visit Colombo Port City and Galle Face Green for sunset views by the ocean. If time permits, explore Colombo’s nightlife with dinner at popular city restaurants or cafés before returning to the hotel.
