Depart along the coast towards Kalpitiya with an optional cultural stop at Munneswaram Temple, followed by a brief photo stop at the Palavi Salt Pans and views of the surrounding Norochcholai farmlands. On arrival, head straight out for a dolphin watching cruise (best Nov–Apr), with possible whale sightings depending on sea conditions. If the sea is calm, continue to Bar Reef for snorkeling, or schedule the reef experience for the following morning. Return to shore by evening to relax at Alankuda Beach, enjoying fresh seafood and a classic west-coast sunset.

After breakfast, enjoy kite surfing in the Kalpitiya lagoon or open sea, suitable for both beginners and experienced riders during the May–October season. As an alternative, head out for morning snorkeling at Bar Reef, timed for the best visibility depending on sea conditions. Later, take a relaxed boat ride across the lagoon, exploring mangroves, sandbanks, and fishing villages, with a short stop on a sandbank or small island for swimming and photos, followed by lunch at the resort or a lagoon-side setting.
